Does the backup image still exist after the instance is released?

Yes. Before releasing the instance, if you back up the image through the console → Backup Image, the backup image will be stored in Image Management. Releasing the current instance will not affect already backed-up images; they will still exist.

How to optimize when the backup image is too large?

It is recommended not to place datasets and data into the system disk when creating a backup image. The system disk should only store a small number of virtual environments and code.

What causes image backup failures?

The most common reason is that the image is too large. After submission, the upload to the cloud fails due to limited server upstream bandwidth. It is recommended not to store datasets or large virtual environments in the system disk.
